Report Viewer Error after Deployment

I have created a report on my local machine and deployed it on a server. As I am the administrator of the server, I can access the reports with servername\Reports. The report has got three data sets. Out of these three one is a Stored procedure and other two data sets have sql queries. The user selects the 'Business year' and 'sales type' from list box. This report works perfect from my local machine as well as from teh server when I am running it

I have some other users who wish to access these reports. I did the following steps:

Created a new role and assigned it at the Data Source Folder and Reports Folder

I also made the user a Database user on the server.

After doing these steps, the user can access the Reports site by servername\Reports.

The user then can go into the Reports folder. But when the user tries to run the report, he gets an error with:

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

  • Query execution failed for data set 'BusinessYear'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

  • For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

Can anyone help me with this? Is htere something to do with setting up of the datasource?

I have tried to search, but could not find relevant info.

Any help/Pointers will be really appreciated.

    regards

    Joshker

    Hi Joshker,

Can you provide us with the RS Log Files so we can look into the error in more detail......

Potenitally you could have a "datatype" issue wrong with the Business Year....

Report Viewable by everyone on network

I have a report that I want everyone who has credentials on the network to be able to view.

We use Active Directory, (I am not an AD administrator), so I *assume* there is an active directory security group that everyone belongs to. If so, then making this report avaiable to everyone should be as simple as granting the *everyone* security group "browse" rights on the folder containg the report.
Is there another way to set such a low level of security in Reporting Services?

    Thanks in advance

    Doug

You should be able to use the "Everyone" SG. I don't know of any other easy way to do this.sql

report server no longer sends emails

We had to change the administrator password recently. So I took the
opportunity and created a sql user (yes.. it is domain admin) and moved the
sql and reporting services to run under this user instead of administrator.
Since this time, my report server doesn't send out the reports via email. I
am not sure where to look to even determine what exactly the problem is.
    Thanks.
StaceyI think i found the problem.. just no solution. When I look at the history
of the job that executed the report. It says that it Executed as user: NT
AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. instead of executing as the user that I want.
Any idea how to change this?

Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup!
What is the current startup account of Reporting Services? From the error
message, it seems that the startup account of Reporting Services is still
    Network Services.
To change the startup account of RS, you can open the Services Control
Panel, find the ReportServer windows services and change its logon account.
You mentioned that you have created a new windows account for RS. After
that, have you configured the RS? Please let me know your configuration
    steps.
If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks & Regards,

And the jobs did not execute as that user. When I added that user explicitly
to SQL Logins, then everything started working fine. I did not think that
