Thanks for the help.
Hi
Install MSSRS Service Pack 2. That will solve your problem.
|||Adonis,
Thanks for the reply. Now I am using Report Services through SQL 2005 Standard and the Report Viewer through VS 2005 Standard if that matters any.
Where do I find the service pack for this that you mention?
Thanks for the information.|||
I think -
What CTP version of 2005 are you using? If July - upgrade
|||I have the full version of SQL 2005 Standard and Visual Studio 2005 Standard. These are the full release versions.|||
Good Evening!
Since I am on the other side of the world so to speak -
You have the "full" version - AND WITH ALL DUE RESPECT - did you purchase this - because if so - I would like to as well --
I can only get a CTP download here in BKK -
Give me some help here in that is this a general first release of 2005?
thank you
|||I do have the "full" version of Standard (not Professional) for both Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005. These were offered at the Launch Parties. You can get the "full" version of the Express versions for free here:http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/. These are free for one year so if you download them now, there is no cost to you at all.
Hope this helps.
|||I have researched the "full version" as you have claimed - and SORRY - there is not a FULL version of 2005 other than the CTP release
or
a possible "full" -- BS --- if your company has a relationship - which every company has a relationship!
So in your request please provide a mod and release # then we can help - but do not say to this forum you have a "FULL" release of a "standard" version of 2005...
Watch your words!

Huh? So what, the November 7 launch never happened and the beta is still out there?
I do not know what you are talking about.
But thanks for the great help you have provided.
|||Sorry about my post about the "FULl" version - please take no personal offense!
I modified the toolbar one time to change the background color and font... I lost the print button on some reports and on others I lost the export button... I never could figure out why - so I reverted back....
I just recently read something on Microsoft's www site about RS 2005 behavioral changes - and the first paragrap indicated problems with headers - maybe there is something in that article - I will go back and look up and post the link to the article -- maybe a small "glitch" in the initial release
Best regards
|||Not sure if you are still working on this. If you are running reports in local mode, the print icons will not be available. Client-side printing is only available in remote mode when you are calling an actual Report Server. Not sure if that applies to your setup or not. You can supposedly get printing to work by writing your own code, but we are just trying this now so not sure if it works or not.http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=76294&SiteID=1|||
Actually, I still am having the problem, but I do see what you are saying because I changed the processing mode to remote and the print button displays. So what I did is import the report to the SQL Reporting Server (I hope I did this right) by using the SQL Management Console.
Now though when I run the app, I am getting the following error:
"The path of the item "\Reports\report.rdlc" is not valid. The path must be less than 260 characters long and restrictions apply. (rsIndalidItemPath)"
What did I do wrong here?
