Hi !
When creating a maintenance plan, I can activate the option "Report to a
text file" available on the last page. How can I enable this option after
the maintenance plan was created ?
Thank you !
HugoDear Hugo,
Thank you for posting here.
We can manually enable the option "Report to a text file" by the steps
below:
1. Right click on the Maintenance Plan that you would like to enable the
option -> Click Modify.
2. In the right panel of the screen, we will find a button named "Reporting
and Logging" (just besides the "Manage Connections" button) on the design
Tab.
3. Click on this button, enable the option "Generate a test file report"
and then specify the location.
4. Click OK to apply the settings.
If anything is unclear regarding above steps, please don't hesitate to let
me know.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,

Report Server installation is not initialized / Can not activate
Hi folks!
After the installation of Reporting Services i received the following error:
The report server installation is not initialized.
First i just continued with the installation of the Service Packs and after
that I tried to activate it with rsactivate, but this didn't work because of
an other error.
rsactivate -c"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config" -t
Result:
Failure starting the web service:

MDAC 2.8 SP1
SQL Server 2000 SP4, with all the Service Packs for Reporting Services
installed.
I'd appreciate help from Microsoft staff on this topic!
I did everything that came to my mind to fix this:
- reg_iis -i
- MDAC reinstalled
- rskeymgmt -d:
--> Result: Unexpected database error (-2147159548) 0x80040154
- deletet encryption keys manually (in the ReportServer database)

YaraIt was the MDAC.
The automatic installation of MDAC failed all the time without
prompting an error message, that's why I didn't notice it.
I had to manually check every dll and overwrite older versions. Then
reregister it.
