Hello world,
I have some reports that run fine when I use the "Render this report with the
most recent data" selected, but when I want to create a Snapshot it fails to
produce a snapshot. It also depends on how much data I select via the
parameters. If I want a small result set it works, but if I select a large
set it displayes several (3) times the windows login popup (asking my
password each time) and in the end it shows a "You are not authorized to view
this page" error.
The large selection runs for about 7 minutes, the smaller about 2 and does
NOT show the login popup.
The server is in another domain than my login but it is in the "Local
Intranet" in the IE security setup and uses "Automatic logon with current
user credentials"
I suspect it is a recource problem, but I have no idea what causes this
problem.
Can you please help me?
Regards, JanHi,
to answer my own question after wasting a lot of time chasing wrong
leads ;-)
It was the IIS connection-timeout of the report manager; default 120
sec. If the query ran longer than that, it failed. I set it to 15
minutes and now all snapshots are created just fine.
