Hi all,
Quick Question-
Is it possible to have two websites on the same report server for reporting
services?
Example: I have one website, lets say for internal reports (employee time,
job info etc.) and another one for customer info (how a customer product is
coming along, how many product support cases we have out there).
http://cmbsssmsrs/personaltime/reports and http://cmbsssmsrs/vantive/reports
I hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

installed a second reporting services virtual directory on my server... I
suspect that it can be done, but do not know if it is supported... remember
that reporting services is just a dot net app. You probably have to have a
different pair of DBs to support it..
Can you possibly use different directories on a single instance, with
different permissions?

Report Source
Hi
We have different version of the same report. For example, Report 1,
Report 1a, Report 1b in the visual studio. We publish only one of them.
But, we go and change report name in browser to 1. After a while, we do not
remember which one did we publish. Is it possible to see which report is
published?
I know that you can get RDL code from browser and compare it against the
visual studio RDL. But, I have lot of such reports.typo in last post - should be "Description" property :-)

deploy it, then you will see that in the properties of the report in Report
Manager

Report Server FileShare Subscription example
I write .net code to create subsciption instead of report manager. Is there
any example talking about Subscription using Report Server FileShare ? I
only find the example of Report Server Email subscription in Books online. I
try the following code and I successfully create subscription. But when I
try to edit it, error is shown - "Object reference not set to an instance of
an object"

End TryI'm not sure why you are getting the object reference error. Is RS
returning it?
Anyway, you are not using the correct setting names. To find the correct
names call GetExtensionSettings. This will return a list of extension names
that the extension excepts. There is a flag that will tell you if the
setting is required or not.

Anyone have any ideas on this one'
I was trying to implement the Form Authentication example (Using Forms
Authentication in Reporting Services) from the MSDN but I am keep getting
this error message â'rsFailedToDecryptConfigInformationâ'.
I followed all the necessary steps from the example to set up both Report
Server and Report Manager and ran the sql script to generate the
â'UserAccountâ' databasae. I have been able to generate two users from the
â'UILogon.aspxâ' page by pressing the â'Registerâ' button. But when I tried to
logon with the â'Logonâ' button. The same error message would appear.
The actual error message:-
Reporting Services Erro

The encrypted value for configuration setting Dsn cannot be decrypted.
(rsFailedToDecryptConfigInformation) Get Online Help
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more
details. (rsInternalError) Get Online Help
----
Microsoft Reporting Services
I also did a check on the Report Server Service by right click to â'Restartâ'
it from the Administrative Tools à Services and an error message appear:-
â'Could not start the ReportServer service on Local Computer. The service did
not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal
service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.â'
I know the Report Server and Report Manager were running properly before I
changed the setup to Form Authentication. So what else do I need to change'

Thanks for your advice. You are right I make a mistake in my
rsReportServer.config file. So I went back to check through all the other
config files on both ReportManager and ReportServer. Then I ran rsKeymgmt
utility to delete all existing encrypted keys in Database and I ran rsConfig
utility to regenerate the connection, followed by rsActivate utility to
reactivate the report server with the correct rsReportServer.config file.
I have been able to restart the Report Server Service after the changes
without any error message in the Event Viewer but I still not been able
access the Report Server via the Form Authentication "Logon" button. I get an
error message for:-
The report server installation is not initialized. Check the documentation
for more information. (rsReportServerNotActivated)
What would it be'

Thanks for your advice. You are right I make a mistake in my
rsReportServer.config file. So I went back to check through all the other
config files on both ReportManager and ReportServer. Then I ran rsKeymgmt
utility to delete all existing encrypted keys in Database and I ran rsConfig
utility to regenerate the connection, followed by rsActivate utility to
reactivate the report server with the correct rsReportServer.config file.
I have been able to restart the Report Server Service after the changes
without any error message in the Event Viewer but I still not been able
access the Report Server via the Form Authentication "Logon" button. I get an
error message for:-
The report server installation is not initialized. Check the documentation
for more information. (rsReportServerNotActivated)
What would it be'
