Report used as attachment to e-mail
I have a report in RS that give me information about a number of persons, one page pr. person. Does anybody have suggestions on how I can set up an e-mail to each person, where the page with the person's data is attached to the e-mail?
(If there are 20 people, 20 e-mails shall be generated to Outlook)
Thanks,
TryMUse the data-driven delviery feature and parameterize your report.

Report Server Subscription e-mail in MS Word format
I am wanting to set-up a subscription to e-mail my reports in MS Word format (either .doc or .rtf) and I do not have the option on my company's report server version.
I have read that it is possible, though I don't have the option. Is this a change to report server, or maybe is our version not updated?
I can e-mail the report out in the following formats:
XML File with report data
CSV (comma delimited)
TIFF File
Acrobat (PDF) file
Web Archive (default)
Excel
Let me know if I am just expecting too much, or if there is something that needs to be updated on our report server.
Thank you,
T.J. Bernard
I have a SQL Report published to the report server, and set-up to e-mail to select users. The users have requested this report appear in an MS Word format (.doc or .rtf). According to a book I have, this is possible, but on our report server we do not have this option.
The options we have are:
XML File and Report Data
CSV (comma delimited)
TIFF File
Acrobat (PDF) file
Web Archive (default)
Excel
Is there some update that needs to be run to our server to allow this format? Can it be programmed some how?
Let me know.
Thank you,
T.J. Bernard

Sorry MSWord is not a format for exporting in SQL Reporting service unless you purchase a Third Party Product.

Report Server for e-mail delivery of reports with Lotus Notes
Notes. Is it possible?
If so, what are the points, I should pay attention to.
I entered the Lotus Notes Mail server IP address in SMTPServer key in
RSReportServer.Config file.
I'm getting this error message:"the transport failed to connect to the
server"
I'm using Reporting services (SP1) on Windows 2000 server (SP4).
Thanks for your helpOur new product, Proposion Report Adapter for Microsoft Reporting Services
and Lotus Notes/Domino, fixes this problem and a lot more. (It also allows
you to use Notes/Domino as data sources for reports and/or allows you to
automatically deposit scheduled reports into Notes databases.) See
http://www.proposion.com/ReportAdapter.
Side note: We recently exhibited at a big Lotus user's conference and, to
our surprise, this was our most popular product this year. I ended up doing
dozens of Reporting Services demos and many commented that it blew away
Crystal Reports, etc. Often, people already had SQL Server in house but did
not know about Reporting Services. I also found a fair amount of customers
who were already in the process of switching to Reporting Services, but did
not realize how extensible it was.
I can't wait to get started with the Yukon version!
